Palm Springs: Sunnylands Gardens
Join me as I walk the gardens at Sunnylands in Rancho Mirage, CA. Sunnylands used to be the winter home of Walter and Leonore Annenberg and it is just a short drive from Palm Springs. Since 2012, Sunnylands hosts visitors at the house and beautiful gardens.

Garden of the Week - Graceful Gardens Philly Rooftop
The times we live in have drawn millions of people into dense city spaces devoid of much contact with the natural world. People long for a connection with Mother Nature and garden design and development serves that unspoken need.
Graceful Gardens of Philadelphia does just that. They bring some humanity into places begging for greenery. It is odd that we might think that humanizing a space means in part to bring plants into it. But that is exactly what bringing beauty into city locations does, it humanizes the space. Our garden of the week features the work of Grace Wick’s company Graceful Gardens. They focus on beautifying the inner city spaces of Philadelphia. We are focusing on their rooftop gardens this week. But in the future we would like to give you a glimpse of their work with Containers, Planters, Entries, Window Boxes and the like. They make a little space go a long way.

Garden of the Week - Tom Deyerlee Carmel Valley
Garden of the Week visit the Carmel Valley in Monterey County to see the work of Tom Deyerlee. This secluded location features panoramic views of the valley. Located on a steep hill the landscape is a combination of tiled patios, cantilevered decks and walkways overlooking the countryside. Tom has designed and built some amazing trellises and half trellises to support various cultivars of Wisteria. He also incorporated food production in the design with fruit trees and raised vegetable planters. We lost Tom to a bicycle accident just a few years ago.His work and family continue on supporting a legacy of kindness and good will that we sorely miss.
